The Linfield College School of Nursing in Portland, Oregon is recruiting to fill an opening for a Lab Coordinator for the Experiential Learning Center.  The Lab Coordinator provides assistance and support to the ELC Manager to ensure the efficient functioning and coordination of activities in the Experiential Learning Center.   • In collaboration with the ELC Manager and IEL Coordinators, coordinates and implements clinical low to mid-fidelity simulation lab staging, set-ups, and take-downs.
  • Cross-trains and participates as needed in high fidelity lab simulation operations, including scenario set-ups, take-downs, camera operations, client voice, and standardized client
  • Manages and directs open labs for students to practice course-required skills and student-to-student peer mentoring
  • Provides, sets up, and receives back supplies and equipment loaned out to students and faculty for experiences, classes, and
  • Meets with faculty and course coordinators to plan lab activities and promote consistency among lab group experiences.
  • Assists ELC Manager with certification or training requirements for students, faculty, and the ELC.
  • Supervises student employees performing duties such as lab set-up or take down, student mentoring, filing, organizing and other duties as
  • Assists faculty in all aspects of laboratory teaching, including equipment use and lab station
  • Provides information to and teaches students about lab safety and department policies, provides safety training to student employees, determines needed safety equipment, and ensures safety equipment is maintained in proper working
  • Maintains inventory levels of supplies and Orders supplies as needed. Obtains bids for large purchases in collaboration with ELC Manager. Participates in non-budgeted procurement of supplies and equipment to support ELC needs.
  • Distributes and maintains MSD sheets for hazardous chemicals within the
  • Reviews and updates Standard Operating Procedures for nursing
  • Assists in coordinating the repair and service of equipment



  • Bachelor of Science or Master's in Nursing or relevant discipline, OR Associates degree and two (2) years' experience in healthcare field, or relevant discipline.
  • Mentoring and organizational
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and



  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • Two (2) years of clinical nursing experience
  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse in
  • Clinical nursing experience (Medical-Surgical experience especially helpful).
